Parafilm Grafting Tape

The Parafilm Grafting Tape is an easy-to-use, self-adhesive, stretchable tape that creates a waterproof covering for the bud, although still “breathable”. It helps accelerate the grafting process. 

In addition to the narrower 12.5mm and 25mm rolls, there is a 100mm wide roll, known as Parafilm M. The wider roll is used in the agricultural industry and in laboratories. 

Parafilm M can be used to close/seal dishes and beakers in laboratories, cover the stems of a bunch of bananas to prolong freshness, and as budding/grafting tape. This is because it is waterproof, while still being "breathable" allowing gasses to permeate it.
